About

I am a guitarist, bassist and clarinettist based in Leeds, UK. I play in a variety of settings for a number of different projects including Mikoudi, Owen Kennedy, Safii Koii, The Tenmours, and Will Matthew as well as others.

I studied music at Durham University and began to get involved with the student jazz scene while on my course. Over the years I played in a number of orchestras, big bands, pit bands and smaller bands with highlights including gigs at Pizza Express and Cafe Posk in London with Durham University Big Band and Trinity Baptist Church in London with Durham University Gospel Choir.

After graduating I studied bass privately with Nick Campbell (Charlie Puth, Meghan Trainor, Vulfpeck) before moving to Leeds to study for an MA in Music with Sam Vicary (The Cinematic Orchestra) at Leeds Conservatoire.

Since completing my MA I have started teaching guitar with ArtForms (Leeds Music Service) as well as continuing to gig around the UK, with highlights including Tramlines, Wilderness, We Out Here, Leeds Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival and EFG London Jazz Festival.
